Ever Present
Oil and Chalk Pastel
This abstract piece is a visual response to Psalm 46, expressing the nearness of God in the midst of life’s chaos. Using oil and chalk pastel, I explored movement and emotion through the swirling forms of grass and poppy stems—each line capturing the tension and beauty of growth in uncertain spaces.
Rising from the field, vibrant red poppies stand tall, their stems entwined with words—reminders that Jesus is present in every moment: in the worry, the noise, the doubt. He is our ever-present help, even when life feels most unsteady.
Ever Present reflects the journey of perseverance and transformation—how, as we continue to seek Him, we are strengthened and shaped into who we were created to be. It is both a declaration and an invitation: to remember, even in the chaos, that we are never alone.
