MessageWho am I?
My name is Elizabeth Watson, and I am a creative explorer with a passion for making a positive impact on the world. I believe that creativity is an essential part of life, and I am constantly exploring different forms of art and craft to express myself and connect with others. Over the years, I have honed my skills in various areas, including painting, drawing, and crafting. My mission is to create spaces for people to thrive and grow, and my artwork is just one of the ways I achieve this goal. When I am not in my studio creating, I love to travel, cook, read, and learn new things. I am always seeking out new experiences and adventures, and I am excited to see where my journey will take me next.
How did I get here?
Elizabeth has always had a passion for learning and exploring, seeking out the unknown and heading out on adventures. As a child, she learned to play the piano and clarinet, sang in the school choir, took part in school plays, and joined the Brownies and Guides. University was the beginning of a new adventure where she got involved in several music and theatre clubs and societies, making new friends and learning new skills and techniques. After graduation, her first job took her to live in Japan, where she worked as a language teaching assistant in local schools. Over the next few years, Elizabeth explored and learned new things, such as learning to speak Japanese, studying tea ceremony, Japanese dance, finding out how to wear a kimono, and playing the koto. Eventually, it was time to come home, and Elizabeth worked through several roles in marketing and project management before completing her teaching qualification. After a number of years teaching, she embarked on a new adventure working with children and families in local communities and schools. In 2013, she successfully ran a property management company for three years before returning to work with children and families. Her passion for art and creativity has been a constant throughout her life, and Elizabeth is now creating space to thrive and grow in community, using art and creativity.
