A longtime resident of Brentwood, Tennessee, Mr. Warren’s interest in art began when he took a pencil drawing class while living in Sydney, Australia, in 1982. After returning to America, his business career kept him from pursuing art seriously. In the early 1990s, though, he began to study again under Nashville artists. He has continued to take workshops and classes with pastoral landscape artist Tommy Thompson (Alabama), Kevin Mench (Tennessee) and realism painter Robert Roark (Cape Cod).
Mr. Warren’s style is representational, bordering on photorealism. He works principally from reference photos, plein air sketches, and memory to develop his individual style of realism.
The artist’s works are held in private and corporate collections in the United States and Europe, and his work has been featured in shared and solo exhibits. Mr. Warren is a member of The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod , The Chestnut Group and Oil Painters of America.
