Historians of the North: Senior Northern Artists

Temiskaming Art Gallery - On Site Exhibition
Kenora by Linda Carney Image: I was attracted by the architecture of the train station representing a different era. The drawing was a challenge as the proportions had to be correct. I felt I had command of the perspective required. What I have achieved is a record of the station in its heyday.
My background was in advertising design at the Ontario College of Art and I got a certification for teaching art. So painting was not my training; so having moved away from Toronto and advertising, I was finding my way and following my interests in drawing and painting.
