The Morrigan by Tashina Marie Image: This piece is a totem to the celtic goddess, The Morrigan. She is a death goddess who deals with lookibng into the deepest, darkest places within yourself in order to do the hard shadow work and shine light on what lays hidden inside. Through this process, the ignored, rejected parts of ourselves are tranmuted, understood, and integrated into our being. Using imagery from her myths, I created a cave of mirrors at eye level to draw the viewer into the reflection of self. Centered within the cave is a form that serves as both the head of a crow and as a glowing heart, illuminating all the dark places within the cave of reflections.
