Tara attended Mount Saint Mary’s University in Maryland double majoring in Art and Philosophy. Tara enjoys painting quickly, trying to capture the essence of the subject using bold colors and strong marks. She works in pastels achieving her Eminent Pastellist Status with the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2019. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and four children.
Statement
A lover of color, line, gesture, and form, I seek to reflect to a viewer the energy of a subject. Using light and shadow patterns, gestures, and color, I convey what interests me in a subject; what initially attracted me to the desire to elevate it to something that others can enjoy.
