From a series of oil paintings inspired by the solidity and endurance of ancient beech trees, capturing the low winter sun highlighting their forms. This Perthshire woodland became a place of peace and stability for me in 2020/21 and the paintings evoke the sense of groundedness and connection to the earth I found there.
