Paige’s Moonrise
Painted in memory of Paige Osbon
Paige’s Moonrise was inspired by the beautiful memory illustrated by Pastor Sam during Paige’s memorial service. As many of us did, I was settled in at home to watch the service remotely. As Pastor Sam opened the service, he spoke about this beautiful moonrise and this memory with Paige.
As an artist, I usually approach my paintings very pragmatically, painting direct from life, or from a photograph. For the first time I felt compelled to paint directly from this “picture” that was being painted by all of those who were speaking during the service that day. My hope being to capture a glimpse of the beauty that Paige inspired while she was here and the beauty that she has left behind… that lives on in her family and friends.
