Tammy was born and raised in Colorado, but now resides in Charleston, SC with her husband and two children. With the beaches, marshes, and incredible architecture, she couldn't ask for more inspiring surroundings. The mountains do still call however, so you can find her dividing her affections between the serene lowcountry marshes, and the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountians.
Tammy has been blessed to travel through many continents and the adventure and imagery collected from these travels are a continual source of inspiration. While landscapes may be a crowd favorite, she finds appeal in capturing the light and shadow that plays off architecture just as much as the capturing of a simple gesture in her figurative work.
Tammy received her B.A. In Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The American Impressionist Society and Plein Air Artists of Colorado. She is represented by the Charleston Artist Collective with select works available at Serena and Lily.
You can visit her in her studio at the Charleston Artist Collective in Old Village, Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
