Collection: Availble Ceramic Works
My ceramic work is an exploration of organic forms - mostly sculptural with the occasional form and functional work the majority are hand built works and each unique. Even my slip cast works usually have individual elements so no two are alike.
Water is my main inspiration, and an unlikely place to begin for works made of clay and porcelian but my life has always been around bodies of water. They can calm me down, energize me, help me think and hold my interest for hours.
As my ceramic practice evolved I discovered that the three dimensional nature of the work allowed me to translate a lifetime of drawings and images of water that I had created into the feeling I had been attempting to record and I’ve been making ceramic works inspired by water ever since.
