My paintings are simultaneous explorations of what I see, where I’ve been and how I want to feel. Like me, they are multilayered, complex and full of surprises.
Message“Shrouded” leans into stillness. Inspired by misty forest light and the subtle forms hidden beneath, this painting is soft, spacious, and restrained. Pale green veils drift across the surface, partially revealing what lies beneath—flickers of earlier marks and half-seen shapes.
The risk here was in letting go. I covered over areas I loved, pared back what I’d built, and asked how much I could remove while still holding onto the story. The result is quieter, but not simpler—its strength is in what’s left unsaid.
“Shrouded” developed alongside “Tangled”, a bolder, more chaotic composition.
