My paintings are simultaneous explorations of what I see, where I’ve been and how I want to feel. Like me, they are multilayered, complex and full of surprises.
MessageOn the Bias plays with balance, direction, and quiet disruption. I began by painting on paper in two distinct styles, then cut and reassembled the pieces into collage on birch panel. The final composition leans gently to one side — just enough to shift your expectations.
In sewing, a bias cut allows fabric to drape and move with more fluidity. This piece does the same — embracing angles, soft tension, and the beauty that emerges when you step slightly off-center.
Perfect for collectors drawn to bold shape, layered process, and the unexpected.
