In physics a “standing wave” is a wave that is fixed in place, oscillating back and forth, repeating the same oscillation forever without changing. A “traveling wave” is a wave that moves through a medium, so it has a direction and it carries energy. I am standing and traveling at the same time. The moving waves help me morph into a butterfly in search of her dreams.
