“Attention in Distraction” 30”x22” Acrylic on paper My place of inspiration or reflection is always in nature, either in the forests or in a garden. I had a torn rotator cuff in my shoulder a few years ago, and so painting in an upright big motion way wasn’t possible. This began a whole series of pieces working flat and pouring the paint directly onto the paper. It was entirely experimental, pouring the liquid color onto a wash that had dried kept the color more vibrant, swirling more liquid color into that marbled created new colors and patterns within itself. It was so much fun!
