Pipe Creek, TX
Primitive Folk Artist, using digital media. I love Landscapes and Florals
MessageAs a mathematics major, I had no interest in art. At 48, my husband took a job in Singapore, and I was forced into retirement. Looking for something different, I started as a Docent for the Singapore Art Museum. Wanting to know more about the mechanics of art, I started classes at Nangyang Art University, and studied with a Chinese Brush Painter, and various watercolor artists.
Upon returning to the States, we traveled in a Motorhome for a few years, I kept painting, and started to sell some of my watercolors, and acrylics.
We finally settled in Pipe Creek, Texas, and started painting the Hill Country of Texas.
Due to various health reasons, at age 70, I could no longer stand at my easel. My husband saw how I missed painting, so he bought me an iPad, and a Painting Program. I found that I could paint on a screen, just like I did on canvas.
All of my paintings are printed on Canvas with Pigment colors. They are then bonded to a foam board. Framing is available if desired.
