My original abstractions are layered compositions that evolve from my interest in the "inner landscape" that weaves in and out of my outer world. They are explorations inspired by my childhood fascination with paper, writing, overlays, and manuscripts. Translucency allows some layers to be revealed and altered by subsequent layers, a metaphor for the passage of time.
