This piece is part of the "Moods in Time" series exploring days of the week and times of day and the moods we experience as we cycle through our weeks. We start Mondays with lots of energy and lots to do - this piece felt like a Monday to me.
Starting with a half sheet of heavy watercolor paper, an initial layer of flat black paint was built up with marks and words inscribed in graphite, translucent papers, and acrylic skins. Filled with rich textures, it is a delight to the eye.
