At one point in the evolution of her style, Greaves used large, simple shapes that almost seemed flattened to make strong compositions. "I always found using my children as models to be distracting, but on this day, my son was home from school sick. He was easily satisfied to draw and remain fairly still as I painted. I have always believed that he has the potential to be an exceptional artist because of his drawing skills."
