"Dealing with weather is one of the realities of plein air painting... painting on location. This day, I had barely started the scene when clouds came into view and started dropping rain on the mountains. I realized the breeze was in my face and I knew that it was coming toward me. I knew that I'd have final warning as the downdraft from the thunderstorm hit. As I felt the first drops, I was closing up my easel and hurrying to my car." -- SFG
