This giant tree trunk belongs to a huge Guango tree at Good Hope. I am always amazed at the number of different plants and animals a full grown tree can shelter - an entire ecosystem under one canopy.
Completed in blocky brushwork, this little acrylic on canvas painting is quite impressionistic and has a contemporary feel.
Ready to hang without a frame, the sides are painted burgundy-grey.
