Brahmans were brought into Australia during the 1940’s as they are adapted to warm tropical climates, are parasite resistant, can walk long distances for water and do not need constant human intervention. However it is important for Top End properties to not overstock native pastures and to occasionally spell paddocks during the wet season to allow reseeding of the land.
