This is Tasmania, home of fragile ecosystems and world renown beauty. Above the hill is tempest, below the hill a reflective river. But is the light on the hill caused by water or fire? The world is on the cusp of major, and irrevocable changes to life on land and climate. We have cleared the land for pastoral uses but not replaced the trees that hold the soil causing erosion and degradation. We have created isolated pockets of bushland that have isolated flora and fauna. Stormier times are ahead if do not act on climate. Each individual has to reflect on what is within our power to change.
