The History of the Rule of Law is a series of oil paintings chronicling the evolution of law in western civilization. These works grace the walls of the Rule of Law Gallery, located on the 11th Floor of the building, with the story beginning in the southwest corner and continuing clockwise around the room. The six 4-by-8 paintings created by artist Ron Anderson are on permanent loan from the Ohio State Bar Association.
The Signing of the Constitution is the fourth painting in the series. It depicts a large crowd shot within a building, with several founding fathers standing around a table to sign the United States Constitution.
