Project Your Voice took place in June 2019 and was funded by a RAP Tax grant; it was an experimental board-directed project from the Summit County Art Advisory Board. A call went out for poetry from locals, to respond to the prompt of how they felt about Summit County, and that it means to them. Around 48 submissions were received, and the results were projected as slides onto the sides of buildings throughout Summit County. It was visually stunning and emotionally impactful. All poems were translated into Spanish, so it was a bilingual project. The project prompted an unexpected connection with the PC transit network, who then featured the poems on the screens inside local buses for months afterward.
