Chalk Your Walk

In the spring of 2020, after months of social distancing in the COVID-19 pandemic, Park City, Summit County, and the PCSC Arts Council partnered to help neighbors retain a sense of community through collective chalk art creations containing messages of hope and joy. The works were created by local residents on sidewalks in neighborhoods throughout the county.

Chalk Your Walk connected people across the distance that was a hallmark of the pandemic. Daily solitary walks and drives had become a way maintaining metal health during the period of isolation. Encountering the chalk art created a sense of solidarity and togetherness that had become so important during the global crisis.
