Although this painting was started as just playing with darks and lights with a shot of blue in it, what emerged as I carried on with my
painting was an experience that I had as a child. I was standing in a railway station with my parents waiting for our train to come into the station. With a great thunderous sound, it came through the dark and the fog and the headlights were the focal point of the vision.
This is what I really enjoy about abstract painting, is the undirected aspect of it and then enjoying what the painting suggests to me as it evolves.
