*I encourage you to take in the work from your own perspective. You don't have to read my interpretation of this painting to enjoy it*
I painted this because I wanted to spend time thinking about the passage between life and death: time. We are surrounded by beauty and storms, and the banality life sometimes bears. Meanwhile, time is stringing our life together, moment by moment. From when we first turn ourselves to face the world above, to when we succumb to that absent heartbeat.
The idea for this painting came about while watching some extraordinary cinematography: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSs6Mmxi2qw&list=PLSacMH_AxlQBq6Lp0-5WAzSI7gFaGXo6D&index=52
