Statement
With each blank sheet of paper, a journey begins. Watercolor, ink, pencil, body, and mind compose, relate, respond, search, struggle, relent, discover, lose, win, change, love, despair, release, merge, separate... There is no formula, or rule. Everything and nothing are sacred. Paint is applied and rubbed out. Drawing is applied and erased. Until, from the cacophony a fragile equilibrium arrives … vanishes … re-emerges and transpires. Suspending understanding invokes discovery. The painting creates the artist as much as the artist creates the painting. I hope the process continues in the viewing with the viewer.
