My work develops intuitively and incorporates diverse layers, which alternate consecutive, conscious, deliberate, and unpredictable interventions.
The material of my painting is obtained primarily by the use and subtle mixture of highly pigmented oil paint and cold wax. This medium allows my work to evolve through complex processes of superimposition, using additive and subtractive techniques throughout their creation.
I draw inspiration from the conscious and unconscious mind, the urban environment in which I reside, and from visual memories and emotional experiences.
The abstract space that emerges from my practice suggests reminiscences and deliberate quotations from American historical abstraction, which I revisit in the blurred, vacillating, and elusive light of our modernity.
