'A Thin Place' is one of several felt landscapes inspired by a particular deeply worn path in Lea, Derbyshire, known as the Clatterway. Standing on this otherworldly, almost underground, path you feel a palpable connection to past lives lived out here. There is an eerie silence punctuated by wind in the trees, birdsong and the bleating of sheep in the field above. The ribbons of silk and threads suggest tree branches and roots, but also abstract to give the viewer a sense that there is more here than meets the eye.
