The series 'Geologic Sensibility' is inspired by my encounter with geological places where I could sense the passage of time and space, a phenomenological awareness of my humble presence. These places include the river Aare in the Swiss Berner Oberland or sites of former peat culture in Northern Germany.

These encounters make me aware of something larger, ineffable, but experienced: a consciousness of relational connection.

The making process reflects my experience as if the ineffable experience wants to be communicated visually. One could see these works as my sensible response to our human place in the world and to the material aspects of our lives.
