2023-2024 Overcircling
The series “Overcircling” plays with the Greek mathematical problem of the nearly impossible "Squaring the circle".
As someone with a scientifically interested and creatively driven mind, I've always sought to bridge the gap between these two sides of myself and am using circles, rings, spheres and other geometric shapes to depict Time and Space since many years.
These works follow a new set of rules, that insure an inner harmony that conveys my need for beauty and happiness in a time where problems seem to abound.
In the 2024 version I am over circling old discarded artwork, digitally and physically to, as the name of this new series explains, "Leave the Past Behind"

In 2017 the Series "Of Bots, Drones and Other Invasive Species was created for a Collective Exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany. My intention was to depict the fact that mankind is more and more invading the environment, the space and us self as human beings.
Travel Sketchbooks
The sketchbooks themselves are not made by myself, but store bought.
I started with watercolour sketchbooks in Myanmar, where I brought two Stillman and Birn sketchbooks. After that followed Strathmore, Fabriano, Canson, Rhodia, Clairefountain and others. Materials were fountain pen and ink, watercolour and watercolour pencils.
2000-2003 Potsdamer Platz
End of 2000 I visited the newly finished Potsdamer Platz in Berlin for the first time. It fascinated me and especially the Sony Center, conceived by star architect Helmut Jahn, was the inspiration for a whole series of drawings, prints, paintings and photographs, that later resulted in two series: Urban Water and Urban Landscape.
