This print is one of a series of single-figure images that I have sourced primarily from the sketchbooks that I use to flesh out the ‘characters’ in my paintings. I have been drawn to the suspended figure by the way in which it embodies a sense of liberation on one hand, but also a great vulnerability on the other.
