The entire city of Ayodhya assembled at Nandigrama in anticipation. There was a roar of the vanaras crossing the Gomati, dust rising from the sala trees as the they shook them in joy. And then they could see Kubera’s glorious pushpaka vimana like a moon in the sky built by Vishwakarna. As it approached closer, men, women, and children of Ayodhya seeing Rama, Sita, Lakshmana, Sugreeva and Vibhishana in it exclaimed, “Ayam Ramah Iti!”. Several millennia since, this day is still celebrated as Deepavali (Diwali).
