Dense growth in a Florida Hammock, painted on location near Ormond Beach, Florida. On two canvases. The artist began the painting on one canvas, quickly realized he needed to add the additional canvas he had with him. So, this painting is an unplanned diptych.

Note the blue line just to right of lower center -- that is refracted light from a spider web and was visible only briefly with the sunlight and spider web positioned perfectly to create that condition. Seeing such things is another benefit of sustained observation and working on location.
