A cypress swamp in east Central Florida, where the artist was permitted to erect a temporary shelter enabling him to work rain or shine in the Sebastian River Buffer Preserve, which has transitioned to a state park. All work was 'en plein air' working from direct observation for 18 months over a three-year period. This is the largest of the artist's Florida Hammock paintings to date.
