ABOUT THIS PRINT
At Anchorage's International Airport, a dog relieves itself near the taxi queue. Colorful plane tails can be seen over the departures ramp. The dog, a malemute, belonged to Neil Meglitsch.
This edition of 25 prints was begun and cut, October and November 1975. Printed January-February 1976. Completed February 3, 1976.
PROCESS DESCRIPTION
This woodcut was printed with 12 colors, including four grays, on six birch blocks.
In all artist proofs and in the prints #1-6, there is a line which the artist eliminated from prints #7-25. It is a gray-black line on top of the white and blue airplane tail to the right of the red airplane tail. Also, in prints #7-25, the black was made blacker.
