Hello Death, Where Have You Been All My Life? was a solo exhibition at the Center for Craft in North Carolina. The exhibition is based on my interviews with workers in the field of death and dying during the pandemic.
Altar: Offerings to Grief is the central sculpture within the exhibition. It acknowledges things that people grieve: lost opportunities, childhoods, and sleep; constitutional rights (abortion); gun violence; fertility (menopause); people lost to COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS; connections with ancestors, etc.
