The Blue Chapel is an installation that features four images within a unique frame with sconces. Each image represents different gestures between the hand of God (often depicted metaphorically in Western Art) and Yemaya (the mother of the Orishas within the Lucumí pantheon). These gestures—Rejection, Acceptance, Advocacy, and Interdependence—challenge the relationship and dualities that narrate the creation of Lucumí and its connection to our personal stories.
