In "20 Feet Tall", the work depicts a Black body, intentionally positioned to face away from the viewer; a refusal by the artwork to perform for the viewer as expected. At exactly 20 feet Tall, this sleeping giant was a direct response to the exhaustion felt after the George Floyd summer of 2020 and the embodiment of the desire to rest from all that occurred in American society since then.
On view during the One More River exhibition at APSU in Clarksville, Tennessee.
