As my daughter fed my father's horse, Caramillo, the reflected light from the salmon-colored walls and the blue sky produced a palette of complementary pastels on the shadow side of the horse that seemed to glow. This painting won Honorable Mention at the 2010 Fine Arts League of Cary Holiday Members show.
