When this quilt arrived at the Museum, it had a small paper label carefully stitched to the front of the quilt in the lower right corner. Very fragile and crumbling around the edges, the paper stated: "Made by Miss Jane Thompson, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania who died in 1869." The quilt also came with a ledge stub from the Penn Central Light & Power Company, dated August to September 1932.
