Multi-colored yarn on tan cloth background. The brightly colored stitched animals, trees, flowers. The trees are called flame trees. This features the Hornbill bird which mates for life and is used as a symbol of fidelity and marriage in the Hmong culture. The story cloths originated in the refugee camps to keep alive the political history and folklore of the Hmong people.
