A pieced quilt with four large blocks, each containing a large Feathered Star. The blocks are separated by and surrounded by Double Dogtooth borders. The center section is surrounded by a wide white border and the quilt is finished with a separately applied red cotton binding. Quilting: Densely and elaborately hand quilted with feathers, feathered wreaths and variations of feathered wreaths. Crosshatch “hanging diamonds” fill in white spaces throughout.
