Statement
I am a storyteller, a propagandist, a fire starter. I am the catalyst to the questions begging to be answered. At a young age my ability to communicate was impeded, so I began creating as a tool to connect with the existing world. Fast forward through a lifetime of creating, learning, and introspection and what you have is a Multi Cultural Pan African Multidisciplinary Artist Philosopher interested in engaging Western Society in conversations that cause instant visceral emotional responses, and radical changes in cultural norms. Curating a culture that forces western society to think deeply, feel deeper, and hopefully ushering in spaces of healing for the African Diaspora in America. Especially for men traumatized by the indoctrination of Western Masculinity. Why dedicate my life as an artist on this mission? Because someone once told me;
“If a white man in America gets a cold, a black man gets the flu, and a black woman gets cancer."
… And that sh** hit different. So I seek to confirm, explore, and change that narrative via engaging and interactive installations incorporating visual works (ie painting, photography, film, sculpture), sound baths, and live performances just to name a few of my trade skills. I once struggled to have a voice, but through visual art, I now connect the existing world to the voiceless pains of very noisy lives.
