Message
Working with color holds special challenges for me; to allow the pigment to be what it is, loud and alive.
The beauty of Encaustic is the transparency and depth in the many layers of wax. If the pigment is opaque I can thin the the wax which makes it less dense, but that will never remove its inherent quality of opacity. I have learned to allow the pigment to be what it is.
