My interdisciplinary practice investigates the social and linguistic constructs that shape identity, history, and collective memory in the United States.
MessageThis installation uses a framework of steel tubing and stretched paper screens to construct a delicate, temporary architecture for projection and shadow play. The skeletal structure suggests both scaffolding and stage set, a space not fully built yet fully active. The paper screens, taut yet fragile, diffuse light and receive projected images that hover between stillness and motion—a three-minute looped portrait of queer identity rendered as part photograph, part film, part performance. The projections feel like still images, interrupted only by fleeting movements—a turn of the head, a blink, a breath—collapsing time into an ambiguous present.
