Despite the serene appearance of this painting, it was actually created on a remarkably windy day while I stood bravely in the ditch! To keep my easel steady, I improvised by attaching a few rocks, and I secured my palette with a bungee cord. This particular scene captures the essence of a cattle ranch situated just outside Cypress Hills Provincial Park, as seen from a southeast perspective off the highway.
