My ultimate bucket list? To be a cowgirl artist in Arizona. Although I'm better known as an equine artist, I love to sneak off into the western landscape.
MessageWhenever traveling to a new place, I'm anxious to explore and experience the landscape, see what's indigenous and look for unique subjects to paint. I love to take back roads and get lost...you never know what you'll find or where you'll end up. Louisiana does not disappoint as I spend a warm winter in a place with very different inspiration.
I fell in love with these creamy white cows as I meandered down a country lane. You have to photograph quickly lest you disturb their afternoon repose under these beautiful southern oaks. The light dappled through the branches onto the cows and the ground...I couldn't resist. I was told that these are the Charolais breed, originally from France.
