Shannon grew up in Rose Hill Virginia and graduated from Carson Newman College (now University) in 1990. She then moved to Knoxville TN where she worked in the art and framing industry until opening her own art and framing studio in 2005. She owns and operates Davis Studio, which specializes in custom framing, local art, and calligraphy services. She also teaches kids art on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. She married Greg Brock in 2017 and they have a scottie dog mix named Sydney.
